  14. GETTING STARTED
  15.  
  16. Prior to beginning installation of the Message Level Control Center,
  17. and configuring your e-mail client(s) you MUST register an email
  18. address with Message Level.  After successfully registering
  19. your e-mail address(s) with Message Level, you will receive
  20. electronically the key(s) to use with your e-mail accounts.
  21.  
  22. The Message Level Control Center will not run without this key.
  23.  
  24. There are two ways to register your email:
  25.  
  26. 1) To register via the web go to:
  27.  
  28.     http://www.messagelevel.com/accounts/
  29.  
  30. 2) To register through the Message Level Control Center:
  31.  
  32.     Click on Register on the Main tab.
  33.  
  34. Note that the e-mail address you submit during the registration
  35. process will be, in it's exact form, the e-mail address for 
  36. which your personal key(s) will be generated.  Remember that
  37. username@yourisp.com is NOT equivalent to Username@yourisp.com 
  38. or USERNAME@YOURISP.COM.  Case must match exactly in all
  39. instances where your e-mail address is required.

  41. Your key will be delivered via email to the email account that you
  42. register with Message Level.  This means that you must have access 
  43. to the email account that you are registering with Message Level in
  44. order to receive your key.

  47. Once you receive your key you are ready to configure Message Level.

  51. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  52.  
  53. The Message Level Control Center requires the that you have the following to
  54. function correctly:
  55.  
  56.      Operating Systems:
  57.     - Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher (XP, 2003, etc)
  58.     - The Microsoft .Net Framework Version 1.1 or higher
  59.  
  60.      Email Clients:
  61.     - Microsoft Outlook 2000 or higher
  62.     - Outlook Express v 5.0 or higher
  63.     - Eudora v 6.1 or higher

  67. Configuring Message Level
  68.  
  69. Use the built-in Message Level Help Center to walk you through
  70. the required configuration of both Message Level and of your
  71. e-mail client.  The built-in help system can be accessed by just
  72. clicking on the blue Help link in the upper right corner of the
  73. Message Level Control Center.

  75. Here are some important guidelines for proceeding with configuration:
  76.  
  77. 1) Have your product registered and have the key(s) for the e-mail
  78.    address(es) you registered
  79. 2) Begin by configuring the Message Level Control Center
  80. 3) Once the Message Level Control Center has been properly configured,
  81.    then move on to configuring your e-mail client
  82.

  84. Control Center, Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora 6.1.

  88. Running Message Level - Tips
  89.  
  90. If, during installation, you elected to have Message Level start 
  91. automatically, it will be running in your system tray.  It's icon
  92. will be the Message Level orange arrows icon.  Double-click on this 
  93. to bring up the Message Level Control Center.

  95. If you did not elect to have Message Level start automatically, click
  96. on Start/Programs/Message Level/Message Level Control Center.  This 
  97. will bring up the Message Level Control Center.
